The value of this book would have to be as a sad reminder of past attitudes towards women by other women. Drunk husband beats you up in a rage? Well, consider your fault in inciting the attack, and resolve the situation by putting on your best nightie with a little dab of perfume. Fortunately, Abby changed her tune over many, many years of reading letters chronicling man's inhumanity to man (or woman) and she admitted her mistakes. This is her earliest collection of letters and might be of interest to sociologists, but not to anyone who wants straight advice on personal matters.

Incredibly dated, and in some aspects (medical) simply wrong. The result is a comedy of errors through a time warp. I discarded it.
